ActionScript Programmer
Responsible for creating and maintaining an ActionScript framework for the development of games and virtual worlds.
Responsibilities:
Work with the ActionScript team to design an extensible, well documented system to build next generation framework for various games.
Program various user interface components after designs are approved.
Assist other departments with tasks and coding when needed.
Document and archive all code for easy reference for the team and other departments.
Qualifications
Post secondary degree or diploma in computer technology, or equivalent experience.
3 + years experience as a programmer in the PC, Internet, or console game or multimedia industry creating multi-player games.
Experience with Client and Server integration required.
Experience in test driven development an asset.
Experience with source control (SVN), Java and ASUnit and asset.
Proficient with ActionScript 3 with a solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
Proficient with Flash programmer and its limitations.
SmartFox, ElectroServer, or Flash Media Servers.
Fluent in English.
Skills and Abilities:
Good communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
A feel for good interaction design and usability.
Able to work well with and help inspire a team.
Must have strong background in object-oriented programming (OOP).
Able to accept constructive criticism and open to exploring new ideas and solutions.
Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
