HR Compensation Specialist

Responsible for the administration of employee-related compensation procedures such as payroll, benefits, record keeping, and general employee support in the area of compensation.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Payroll administration including tracking of new hires, changes in pay, vacation/personal leave etc. Duties are to be shared with the other Compensation Specialist.

Track and administer benefits and perks.

All other relevant HR tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in business administration an asset.

Canadian Payroll Association Compliance Practitioner is required for this position, with Certified Payroll Manager qualification preferred.

5+ years total compensation experience.

At least 3 full, dedicated payroll cycles including year-end balancing.

Working knowledge of group benefits, including Weekly Indemnity management.

Employee-focused issue resolution.

Tax and general personal financial planning experience preferred.

In-depth knowledge and experience in ADP people@work, pay@work, and EZ Labour Management.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, including strong MS Excel skills.

Fluent in English.
