Product Manager
The Product Manager (PM) bridges business, creative and technology needs, during the ideation and product definition phases of the product development lifecycle. The PM’s role is to effectively address the needs of the business by specifying product solutions that leverage constrained engineering and creative resources while balancing system scalability, cost, and time to market. The PM’s unique combination of business and technical knowledge is leveraged to quickly evaluate options and to represent business and creative requirements to the technology organization.
This person will also be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and community requirements, defining the product vision through the input of the studio executives, and ensuring revenue and community satisfaction goals are met. As well, ensuring that the product supports Disney Online Studios Canada’s (DOSC) overall strategy, goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Turn product strategy into an achievable tactical plan and master product calendar for all relevant departments (production, creative, marketing etc.) to execute on.
Gather customer feedback and requirements from all applicable business units to feed into short and long term plans.
Work with executive team to develop product strategy to ensure product plan encompasses Studio business objectives and goals.
Act as a leader within the company.
Manage, mentor and lead Business Analysts.
Work with project management to ensure all product components are on track.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred).
PMP certification preferred.
5+ years experience as a product manager or technical product manager required.
3+ years work experience in the online industry.
3+ years experience in project management.
Demonstrated success managing and launching excellent products.
Able to understand and articulate technology at a business level.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Fluent in English.
