Team Leader, Global Quality Assurance
Organize quality assurance (QA) tasks and priorities for the Global teams that tests all online / in-game localized content in their language in order to ensure a safe, consistent and positive experience for the audience online in their culture.
Responsibilities:
Effectively communicate daily testing priorities and global test plans to global teams as their single point person for questions/feedback.
Create and distribute Global test plans to Global QA testers as their single point person for questions/feedback.
Monitor Global issues in the bug database, be the point person for reassigning functionality issues to internal production/technology teams, and escalate urgent bug fixes where necessary.
Document standardized QA processes and methodology, and ensure they are followed by the global QA teams.
Document and report issues, and escalate to the Manager, QA (MQA).
Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Works with Global Production Coordinator on streamlining production priorities and remaining on track with translation/QA timelines.
Works with web and in-game Build Engineers to stay on top of what is "ready for QA global" in order to set priorities.
Global QA advocate in info, design, and production meetings.
Tracks all QA global sign-offs daily per feature and language; updates info onto Wiki.
Owns and executes QA training for any global QA.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary certificate or degree required.
Project Management Certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
2+ years team leadership experience in a QA or localization department preferred.
All Microsoft Office programs including MS Outlook and MS Visio.
Previous experience with MS Project-type software, bug database and internal wiki update experience preferred.
Fluent in English.
Skills and Abilities:
Proven knowledge and experience in QA disciplines and testing structures in the gaming industry.
Passion for online gaming and children.
Able to train, organize and oversee a remote team’s tasks globally.
Able to work under pressure.
Excellent skills for defining or redefining processes if existing processes are inefficient or need to be created.
High attention to detail.
Experienced, organized communicator that can think quickly on their feet.
Capable of juggling multiple projects and completing tasks and milestones successfully.
Excellent problem solving skills.

Strong organization skills and able to prioritize tasks.
Has a firm understanding of working with remotely located teams.
Familiar with technology project life cycles.
