Designer
Responsible for creating layouts, while following established design standards. Must be able to make minor adjustments to illustrative content.
Responsibilities:
Weekly Flash Newspaper - Using the English Club Penguin newspaper (Club Penguin Times) as a guide, create the new version using translated content.
Update in-game catalogues, books, manuals to new layout with translated content.
Updates to in-game signage and labeling with translated content.
Misc. Such as meetings and creating items when requested by other departments.
Coordinate outsourcing of design projects, as needed.
Image reconstruction in Flash using existing artwork.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design
5+ years in advertising or design agency
Speaks English and French
Fluency in Indesign CS2 or above, PhotoShop, Illustrator and Flash. Good knowledge of Acrobat a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong layout skills, both for advertising and publication design
Typographic competence
Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent visual problem solving abilities
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Able to ensure company standards of quality are maintained on every project
