Web Designer
Web designer for Club Penguin, setting precedents in layout creation and various web design production work. Significant input into strategic web design and design standards (internal and external). The ideal candidate is an extremely creative, fast-paced designer, a collaborative thinker, and one who can thrive in a demanding, fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Contributes to the design of new sections for the website, and redesigns existing sections.
Perform regular site updates and maintenance.
Actively participate in project development lifecycle.
Develop and maintain web design processes and methods.
Stay up-to-date with latest design trends and techniques.
Stay up-to-date in the Club Penguin World.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-year diploma in graphic design, new media design or equivalent.
3+ years in graphic design, preferably web related.
Fluent in Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Fluent in English.
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of all aspects of graphic design.
Excellent visual aesthetic and problem solving abilities.
Knowledge of web compliant design and usability principles.
Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Self-motivated, and able to work under very tight deadlines.
Able to ensure company standards of quality are maintained on every project.
Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience with Flash design and ActionScript preferred.
