Player Safety
Club Penguin's Safety Measures
We are dedicated to creating a safe online environment for children. We offer two chat options - Ultimate Safe Chat and Standard Safe Chat.
Ultimate Safe Chat
This chat option offers users a set menu of greetings, questions and statements. Users in this mode will only see Ultimate Safe Chat messages from other players.
Standard Safe Chat
This option allows users to type their own messages to other players. Every message is filtered to prevent inappropriate language, or personal information appearing on the site.
Our filter is continuously updated to provide current, and culturally specific community support.
On-Site Moderators
Club Penguin employs highly trained, on-site staff to monitor player activity and chat. Players who engage in inappropriate behaviour are issued bans varying in time.
Users are encouraged to report other players who make them feel unsafe to a moderator. Contact a moderator by clicking the "M" icon on the upper, right-hand portion of the screen.
Personal Safety Online
We encourage parents to talk about internet safety with their children. Here are key points to remember:
- Never give out personal information online. Your real name, age, where you live, phone number or school.
- Never share your password with anyone, except your parents. Someone else might use your password and pretend to be you.
- If someone does or says anything online to make you feel uncomfortable, tell your parent or guardian straight away.
- Choose a nickname that doesn't give away your real name, or location.
Protect Your Password
To keep your account safe, don't save your password on public computers. Remember, EVERYONE who uses that computer can get into your penguin account.
